Ron Paul Superbowl ad

Seeing how quickly the money piled up when a request went out for net donations realy impressed me. I thought that a way to realy get the freedom message out to the masses would be a Superbowl ad. This would cost a lot but if we started getting donations now we could easily get enough in time. We could also have a contest for suporters to submit 30 second ads with the best one selected for the ad.
The Superbowl is on the 26th of january. Just a few days before the primaries. The ads are so expensive that candidates for presedent never waste that big a chunk of their campaign funds on them. 2.6 million is the going rate right now. We could raise that in under a month if the message got out. It would also be a great place for people who have already donated the max $2300 to the official campaign to help the cause of liberty.
We could easily get the word out through meetup.com and youtube. Football is almost uniquely American and people are already in a patriotic mood during Superbowl. Superbowl is also almost the only place where people wait to see the comercials and the news media will actualy replay them for a few days after the fact for free incase anyone missed them hahaha.
We could let the submited ads be voted on by suporters with the understanding that they arent voting on their favorite ad but on the one most likely to reach the uninitiated general popuation.
All adds should have a short clip of Dr. Paul talking about freedom, clips of the massive support he has (the revolution), and include a few of scarier things the government has done without most people noticeing. I.e. sneek and peek, no trial imprisonment, and things like that, the list goes on. Let the people decide on what order. I have seen some great youtube videos I would love to see on TV but they are all 3-5 min long unfortunatly. Dont tred on me, is a great example and so is, In the course of human events, but both are way too long. It would be awsome if some person, smarter than me, could come up with a way to tie the message in with football but thats not totaly required.

I don't know. It's a good idea - but it's expensive. Would that money be better spent somewhere else??

Here's an idea that's free for the taking. Buy super bowl trips no strings attached for any outpatients who might be football fans at Fort Lewis, Fort Dix, Walter Reed, Livermore, Fort Knox, San Diego, etc. No strings attached. I think there are nearly 4,000 of them at this point and if there's anyone who deserves a vacation it's these guys. $2 million would buy a lot of plane tickets, rides, hotel rooms, whatever it takes. Even if there were only 5 of us doing it it would be worth it but if the idea took off and you had a couple hundred people coming in on wheelchairs and faces scarred up people are going to take notice and see that the freedom movement isn't going to forget our vets. I mean I would carry a vet on my shoulders to his seat if that's what it took and I know I'm not the only one. Could be totally done outside the national campaign. I think it would be really therapeutic for some of these guys to know there are Americans who still care enough to walk into a VA home and give them something else to think about than the fruit flies buzzing around their food. Maybe you make a friend for life in the process. Freedom is popular.
