GOP Debate broadcast reveals 7 years of Neocons and Bush have made conservatives stupid
Watching the Republican debate on Fox tonight I was forced to confront this question. Has 7 years of Bush and the Neocons rotted the brains of "conservatives"? The answer is yes.
Demagogue: One who preaches doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots.- H.L. Mencken
The "focus" group assembled by Fox was perhaps the most naive bunch of boobs I've seen assembled in one place in quite some time. Giuliani's strategy of invoking Hillary-phobia at every opportunity plays well with these folks.
Breaking News... in the spin room, McCain just said "we" should throw Russia out of the G8.
Prediction time
My prediction... Huckster drops out and becomes Benito Giuliani's running mate providing some street cred among the largely labtomized Christian conservative voting block.
The so called "conservatives" have become an unthinking gang of diaper wetting pansies. They respond to any fear based stimuli foisted upon them. Hillary, Saddam, Ahmadinejad, Putin. More
McCain had a few good lines tonight. Something about old hippies and free prescription drugs. McCain also
said when he looked into Putin's eyes and saw 3 letters... "KGB". I
wondered if when he looked into George H.W. Bush's eyes he say "CIA".
Fred Thompson did better tonight than his first debate. I think he should stick to his acting career but he has yet to ask my advice. Thompson called Ted Kennedy fat (I didn't know there was room to the left of Ted Kennedy... in fact I didn't know there was any room tot he right of him either".) Wendell Whatshisname called Thompson "lazy".
Breaking News... Ron Paul is kicking everyone's butt in the after debate text poll with 35%. Fox is once again doing everything they can to downplay Paul's success while applauding Huckabee's 15%.Ron Paul is in the spin room sparring with Hannity. Hannity went soft. Paul asked him straight up "are you saying your own poll isn't any good?" Hannity avoided the question.
Ron Paul noted after the debate that the other candidates are "softening their tone" a bit regarding their militarism. Hannity suggested perhaps they are being Paul-ized (aparently that is the opposite of being Hannit-ized).
Frank Luntz is doing the dial twisting focus group thing with the lines on the colored screen. I think the lines indicate the stupidity of the conservatives and the impending Democratic slaughter of any Republican candidate (with he exception of Ron Paul.)
In something reminiscent of those experiments involving rats and cheese in a maze, Luntz is confirming that his group of bozo's have some serious physiological problems. When they hear the word H I L L A R Y while grasping knobs, their wrists reflexively turn to the right.
The question I have is this. If these Hillaryphobes will vote for anything to the right of Hillary, won't they vote for Ron Paul too? If so, who then can garner the most votes among the Independents and Reaganesque democrats? I believe the answer is Ron Paul.
It's Ron Paul or Hillary ;)

I think Ron Paul should
I think Ron Paul should threaten a 3rd party run at the next debate if people don't vote for him. So many people are worried about this.
Ron doesn't have a hoice.
Ron doesn't have a hoice. Just like running for President of the United States. We the people will force him to. He is a strict Constitutionalist, but he bends to the will of the people. He says no right now to running as an independent, but with a little pressure and campain contributions, he will run independent!!!
