I am struggling to combat the overwhelming compulsion to kick the chair.

For a number of years I have been a fan of Blues / Folk guitar player, singer / songwriter Chris Smither. Last night I just happened to see he was playing in Scottsdale Arizona and was fortunate to get to his show at the last minute.

The empire's latest outpost is a massive, over budget monument to the US global empire. The latest in a long line of problems seems to be that no one wants to go there.

What has the war cost? Going on 3,800 U.S. dead and 28,000 wounded. More than 100,000 Iraqis are dead; 2 million, including most Christians and much of the professional class, have fled. Millions have been ethnically cleansed from
neighborhoods where their families had lived for generations.

Philly guy Michael Smirconish who credits former CIA Bin Laden Unit chief Michael Scheuer with swaying his opinions of our 9-11 response speaks with Scheuer regarding the latest Bin Laden tape and how Bin Laden escaped Tora Bora. Scheuer, who has been very supportive of Ron Paul's foreign policy statements, emphasizes that he believes another Alquaeda attack in the US is forthcoming.
